Each web page that's part of your website should have a distinct 'Title' and 'Meta Description'. This information is very important when it comes to search engines (e.g. Google, Yahoo, Bing) as it provides a brief summary of what the page is about. As such, proper optimization of the Title and Meta Description is crucial to your websites search engine ranking.
Take a look at the Title and Meta Description on EACH of your web pages ... here's how:
1. View each of your web pages in any browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, ect.)
2. At the top of your browser click 'View' >> 'Source' OR 'View' >> 'Source Code'
You'll probably see lots of code you don't understand, that's ok. Near the top of the page look for the Title and Meta Description tags:
<title>Title of the web page</title>
<Meta name="description" content="Brief description of the web page">
If your Title contains just your company name or some obscure title then it's not optimized properly. Likewise, your Meta Description should be clear, concise an specific to that page.

Fight Digital Apartheid!
I’m on a mission …. to fight “Digital Apartheid”.
The word ‘apartheid’ is not meant to convey racial or socioeconomic discrimination, but rather to describe the growing separation of those who fully understand and embrace the Internet as means of full participation in the ‘digital universe’, and those who do not.
Since 1996 I have focused my time and efforts on the Internet as a technology developer, entrepreneur, business executive. I have built successful Internet companies from the ground up and consulted with the top Fortune 100 companies about how to expand their Digital Footprint.
Unfortunately, my experiences have also provided a front row seat to the ever-widening disparity between companies (and individuals) that fully understand the importance and value of developing a global Internet presence and those that do not.
Over the past several years I have had many friends, family members and business colleagues come to me desperately seeking advice on how to achieve success online. Most of them have come to understand that properly positioning yourself (or your business) in this new digital universe is crucial to achieving and sustaining success in the 21st century.
As a result, in April of this year I launched an ‘online community service project’ to provide free expert advice and resources to anyone wanting maximize their web site results.
My project, SiteAchieve.com, is a new and innovative online community service that provides free expert advice and resources to web site owners committed to creating (and helping others create) more effective web sites with improved results.
